Miss America 2010 Winner : Miss Virginia Caressa Cameron

Miss America is one of the largest beauty pageant in America, and last night a candidate stood out among 35 other contestants.

Miss America 2010 results - Miss America 2010 Winner is Miss Virginia Caressa Cameron. Miss Virginia Caressa Cameron was crowned the winner of the Miss America 2010 Pageant Saturday night at the Hard Rock Café and Casino in Las Vegas.

The 22-year-old proved she had beauty, brains and vocal talent as she sang 'Listen' from the movie 'Dreamgirls'. During the interview portion of the competition, Caressa Cameron was asked about her thoughts on fighting childhood obesity.

"We need to get our kids back outside, playing with sticks in the street like I did when I was little," she said. "Expand your mind, go outside and get to see what this world is like."

The Miss America Pageant 2010 Winners:

• Fourth runner-up is Miss Kentucky Mallory Ervin.
• Third runner-up is Miss Louisiana Katherine Putnam.
• Second runner-up is Miss Tennessee Stephanie Wittler.
• First-runner up is Miss California Kristy Cavinder.

American Idol Season 9 Episode 6 : Dallas Auditions

American Idol Season 9 - American Idol 2010 auditions last tonight as Simon, Randy, and Kara head to Dallas, Texas with guest judge Neil Patrick Harris. The entire audition process in Dallas, Texas for American Idol Season 9 was fun, hope everyone has seen it.

The guest judge, Neil Patrick Harris didn’t agree much with Simon and you could see the annoyance on Simon’s face but they both remained civil.

The first contestant was Lloyd Thomas, who received the golden ticket. A young man who overcame a past of growing up in the projects to work on the docks for an airline. Simon said he was his favorite of the day.

Todrick Hall also made it, he sang an original song he wrote just for the occassion. It was quite funny, and he really has a great voice.

American Idol Season 9 - The 9th season of American Idol premiered on January 12, 2010, on Fox. Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi will all return as judges, Paula Abdul did not return as the fourth judge on the panel, having announced that she was leaving the show.

So moving on, American Idol Season 9 Edition Recap : Los Angeles Auditions. Only 22 contestants made it through, and only five were featured in this marathon of mediocre talent. Avril Lavigne and Katy Perry are the guest judges in this episode. Here are the list of the evening singers.

Andrew Garcia, "Sunday Morning"

Andrew got the full "let's meet your parents and make your dad cry!" treatment for his introductory package. Andrew grew up in a rough neighborhood and, now a father himself, he knows what his parents went through to give him a better life. His voice doesn't really match his look, but he was easily the night's best singer. Randy says he has mad vocals and his performance gives Perry chills. Hello, Hollywood.

Jim Ranger, "Drive"

This pastor and family man sang an original song and struck the judges with his authentic voice. (For those sleeping in class, "authentic" has become this season's buzzword.) Lavigne plays buzzkill, suggesting being a pop star requires much travel and time away from his family and church. Although she says no and gives Kara pause, he ultimately is given a ticket.

Tasha Layton, "Baby Baby Baby"

The judges generally liked her take on the Joss Stone song. I found nothing to hate about her voice, but nothing all that remarkable, either. But she will get a chance to prove me wrong in the next round.

Chris Golightly, "Stand By Me"

A foster child since he was 18 months old, Chris has used music as a security blanket while bouncing among 25 different families. Kara calls him her favorite singer of the day, and she thinks his story will connect with people. Perry rightly argues that the show is about talent, not about the pre-fab packages. (Hear that, Idol producers?) Simon agrees that his voice was good, but didn't make him jump out of his seat. Randy sides more with Kara, but all the judges agree that his voice is good enough to continue.
