For people wondering why there was no OnePlus 4, it is because the number 4 is considered an unlucky number because it is homophonous to the word "death" or "decease" (死 pinyin sǐ). Recently surfaced reports are claiming that the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is promising to release the OnePlus 5 flagship smartphone without the touch latency issue.

The OnePlus 5 Android smartphone is one of the highly anticipated handsets following the fame of its predecessor, the OnePlus 3. Just like previous years, this is the company is going to follow the same trend of adding all the newest and powerful specs. According to the reports, the upcoming OnePlus 5 will come with a dual curved screen. We will keep you updated if we hear any other developments or leaks on the phone.

The OnePlus 5 specs point to massive upgrade; the device can surely compete against the flagship phones like Apple's iPhone 8, Samsung's Galaxy S8 and LG's G6. If this stands true, OnePlus 5 will give direct competition to the recently launched Samsung Galaxy S8 which also comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor.

OnePlus 5 will come with a 23 megapixels primary camera. You might be as well surprised why the hell OnePlus 5 is being mentioned instead of OnePlus 4 as the successor to the 2016 OnePlus 3. The fingerprint scanner could be relocated to the back of the device.

A new article from Tech Times highlighted some of the more interesting revelations included in the report, such as the one related to how much RAM the latest smartphone from OnePlus may be able to offer. The device is expected to be rocking whopping 8GB of RAM.

The smartphone would have a 16-megapixel front camera for selfies. The new design will also bring a new design which is 7mm thick.

The OnePlus 5 is said to be available in five different colors: black, while, ceramic, gold, and blue. The OnePlus 3T was slightly more expensive than OnePlus 3. The price of OnePlus 5 is expected to be under $500.
