As if to underscore that point the show opens with Dean Ambrose receiving a call from Kurt Angle where, because the Olympian won't be there, Ambrose is given the role as acting GM for the evening.

After WWE Payback, Raw could provide a better picture of what lies ahead for Strowman, Reigns and Balor. The Miz tried to use his GM status to disqualify Bálor, but Ambrose restarted the match and banned Maryse from ringside.

It was going all well, but Roman Reigns interrupted and it resulted in ending the match via DQ. A steel chair assault from Reigns proved to be too much for the gift of destruction to handle, as he quickly beat a hasty retreat.

- The Golden Truth hype up the Tag Team Turmoil Match in a backstage segment.

There will be a number one contender's tag team turmoil match on the episode to determine the next challengers for The Hardys' titles.

There's one benefit to having a chink in your armour: You know where the enemy is going to aim his weapon at.

- Samoa Joe vs Seth Rollins will happen later.

Seth Rollins vs. Samoa Joe is next.

TJ defeated Jack. Even after the match, TJP continued to attack Gallagher, but Austin Aries came out and saved him. With a shot at the belt on the line, TJP delivered a victory with a technique most un-gentlemanly, grabbing Jack's tights to leverage a dirty pin. In the wrestling, Balor seemed to be in complete control fro the most part of the bout.

WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville is out for commentary.

Sasha Banks defeats Alicia Fox. Sounds like a plan for another rematch then.

Miz put Ambrose in a match with Bray Wyatt for later tonight.

- Speaking of The Miz, it's been announced that he will get his title match from WWE Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose on next Monday's RAW from Newark, NJ.

Down for the count, The Miz quickly pounced on Ambrose and delivered some pain as RAW went off the air.
