Ziggler tried to deliver a sneak attack on Nakamura.

Orton was out first, and he was met with a challenger as Mahal predictably came out to talk and stare him down. Charlotte and Naomi have chose to group together, plus they've gotten even more assistance in the form of Becky Lynch. Reinforced by his pals the Singh Brothers, Mahal and Orton got into a war of words on Smackdown LIVE, as AJ Styles and Kevin Owens also hit the ring to vent a little about they were after some fresh gold. With no influence at ringside from Bray Wyatt now that he happens to be a main-eventer on RAW, Rowan turned to his dark mask and heard his instructions loud and clear: Beat the snot out of Harper.

Kevin Owens entered and told the two to stop bickering as no one cared about India, the House of Horrors match or England. Using pure power and sneaky thumb to the eye, Rowan bested his former brother and earned the pin. Smackdown ended with Mahal celebrating and talking trash to Orton.

In what was supposed to be a one-on-one match, Natalya was joined by Carmella, James Ellsworth and Tamina at the ringside while Smackdown Live Women's Champion Noami and Charlotte were at Becky's corner.

Dolph Ziggler confronted Shinsuke Nakamura inside the ring. Nakamura wants to fight tonight, but Ziggler prefers to fight on his own terms, which translates to Backlash in under two weeks.

-Tyler Breeze and Fandango vs. Instead, he competed in the main event of the broadcast, teaming with Owens and Corbin to battle Orton, Styles and Sami Zayn in a Six-Man Tag Team match. Afterwards, Rusev appeared on the screen to get an answer to the WWE title opportunity demand that he made a few weeks back. The Viper then promised to once again become the champion at Backlash.

Jinder picked up a huge victory by pinning Orton, after hitting him with a "cobra clutch slam" just a week-and-a-half before the pair square off for the title.
