Posted May 13, 2017

Virginia State Police on Thursday evening issued an AMBER Alert for an 8-month-old girl from Hampton who police believe was likely abducted and is in "extreme danger".

Also possibly abducted is Chloe's mother, 34-year-old Keir Johnson.

Police in coastal Virginia are searching for a mother and an infant they believe may have been abducted.

13News Now spoke with Keir Johnson's mother, Rhonda Crews, who said she just wants the pair to come home safely. Family members claimed that Keir Johnson was supposed to go to Buckroe Beach to take her daughter "for a walk".

Police say they could be traveling in a 2013 back Kia Optima with Virginia tags VAW2197. She was wearing blue jeans, a t-shirt and glasses, police said. She has black hair and brown eyes.

Keir Johnson's Facebook profile was last updated publicly on March 19 with a photo of herself with baby Chloe, and does not contain any public information hinting at how or why she and her daughter disappeared.
