Preds looking to win Game 4 against Ducks in Nashville

Kelly Clarkson took to Instagram to show off her team pride while attending a playoff game between the Nashville Predators and the Anaheim Ducks in Nashville, TN on Thursday night.

The result ended the Predators' 10-game winning streak at home in the Stanley Cup playoffs.

The Ducks scored a goal in each of the first two periods and the Predators were in a hole they would have to play their best of the season to overcome the 2-0 deficit.

The Ducks had crafted a 2-0 lead on a shot by Nick Richie that eluded Preds goalie Pekka Rinne, who was late to catch up with the laser shot. Filip Forsberg scored the tying goal 3:54 into the third period, and Roman Josi netted the power-play victor with 2:43 left, and in between were two goals waved off for goaltender interference.

The previous time the Ducks allowed a goal while shorthanded was in Game 6 of the second round. Craig Anderson has only allowed one goal in each game he's played in this Eastern Conference series. The Predators have stressed net-front presence in this series, and in Game 3, it was to an extreme.

The Ducks have matched their franchise record with their fourth overtime win this postseason. The UNDER is 5-1-1 in Nashville's last seven games this postseason. It was Perry's third overtime goal of these Stanley Cup playoffs, making him only the third player in National Hockey League history to perform that feat.

Subban scored off a blast from the blue line to revive the standing-room only crowd with Forsberg helping screen Gibson. Anaheim desperately needed a win in Game 4, especially being down 2-1 in the series.

"You have to be smart about how you do it", said winger Andrew Cogliano. It's tough. They're a good team. You could tell they were more energized by taking the lead.

The Ducks have now reclaimed home-ice advantage and should be considered a favorite to make the Stanley Cup Final. "They were quicker. They were first everywhere, more physical and that usually dictates the play".

Fisher, who is married to singer Carrie Underwood, had 18 goals and 24 assists during the regular season but has been held without a point in the playoffs.

Nashville forced OT when Filip Forsberg equalised with 34.5 seconds remaining in the third period. Their hunger for the net was hardly quelled by the two disallowed goals.

But in the third period, the Ducks came unglued. Thanks to Perry, the Ducks will return to Anaheim with the series tied at two games apiece.

"We were on our heels", Nashville coach Peter Laviolette said. Sullivan will announce the Game 4 starter in goal after Friday morning's skate. The Predators looked exhausted, flat and out of sync, especially in the first period when the Ducks set a franchise record for fewest shots allowed in the playoffs.
