As we begin to dry out Wednesday we will start off with mostly cloudy skies before turning partly sunny during the afternoon and with a northwesterly breeze it will feel like spring again as temperatures will only top out in the upper 70s. A cold front will march toward the Mid-South Tuesday evening, bringing in scattered rain showers and storms, mainly after 5 p.m.
Mostly cloudy with stray showers, 20%. Wednesday a slight chance of showers will remain thanks to another lower pressure system dropping into the area.
Computer models show another round of showers and storms on Thursday. And to finish out the week on Friday, clouds and some sun with a spotty shower or two.
NEXT WEEKEND: Additional storms and showers are possible Saturday evening, Saturday night, and Sunday. However, it is too early to determine if any showers will affect our area. Winds will turn southerly on Saturday into Sunday and then southeasterly on Memorial Day. They will persist off and on along a slow moving front that won't bring changes to our temperature, with highs staying in the low to mid 70s all week long and lows in the low-to-mid 50s.
