The Lakers own picks No. 2 and No. 28 in the first round of this year's draft, but will they use both picks?
National Basketball Association commissioner Adam Silver believes LaVar Ball "will settle down" once son Lonzo is picked in the upcoming draft. "She's bragged on her daughters, and I think it's the same here", Magic said.
National Basketball Association legend and Golden State Warriors executive Jerry West says he would not want a father like LaVar Ball. It's become so real that Ball's camp, which started the process saying he'd only meet with the Lakers, have expressed a willingness to meet with the Philadelphia 76ers and possibly the Sacramento Kings depending on how things go with the Lakers.
One of those players that the Lakers are likely to target is UCLA star point guard, Lonzo Ball. "After the Lakers thing goes down and the ideal scenario is going to unfold, the new deal, Nike (to) five years and $20 million". When in reality, he isn't costing him anything.
He added: "I guess the story becomes more intriguing in that if he goes to the Lakers, he could've doubled his deal and chose to pass".
While the decision to turn down $10 million offers may not pay off in the immediate future, it could eventually turn in to a genius move for LaVar Ball, Big Baller Brand and his sons. Incredibly LaVar, instead of going back to try and negotiate a deal that could be double the $10 million tag, has gone back asking for an even bigger number than he wanted before - $3 billion. Speaking of which, that was the sound many observers thought they heard in a video Tuesday, in which LaVar Ball responded to a long-distance-shooting challenge from Ice Cube.
