What Time & Channel Do the BET Awards 2017 Come on Tonight?

Posted June 26, 2017

Our outfit selections are at the ready and we assume BET is ready to kick off its biggest and best party, hosted by comedian Leslie Jones. Both pop stars are the top nominees at Sunday's show, where they will compete in four of the same categories, including video of the year.

This year, Beyonce leads the nominations with seven awards, followed by Bruno Mars with five nominations and Solange, Chance the Rapper and Migos with four nominations each. Last year's energy-filled performances included tributes to the late Prince and a memorable collaboration between Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar; no word yet on whether or not new mom-of-three Beyonce will make an appearance, but if so, it'll most likely be as an audience member rather than performer (though she would be a showstopper nonetheless!).

Mars has been on an R&B adventure with his latest album, "24K Magic", which was inspired by '90s R&B.

The 31-year-old singer-songwriter-producer is also nominated for best male R&B/pop artist, going up against Chris Brown, The Weeknd, Usher and Trey Songz.

Other strong competition Sunday include best female hip hop artist, where rivals Nicki Minaj and Remy Ma will go head-to-head.

The most epic showdown will come when the victor of the best male hip hop artist award is revealed. Because the BET Awards will air tonight. Familiar faces like Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith and Jamie Foxx will appear alongside newer names like Trevor Noah, Algee Smith and Yara Shahidi to present the awards for the night.

The group is set to be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award and BET is sure to have something in store to delight fans.
